Today, I bought this Roadracer Records promotional cassette at a record store for $1. It is from 1987 and features the bands Gang Green, Carnivore, Kat, Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, Whiplash, Blessed Death, and Infernal Majesty. It was most likely issued so that radio stations or record stores could play them and people would go buy the album. I have yet to find something on the internet about this release, Metal Archives and Discogs both did not have this release listed. I assume it is pretty rare, but I cannot find a single thing about it.

This is an original US pressing of Metal Church's debut album signed by two of the band members. The front cover says, "Love your pal, Duke Erickson", who was the bass guitarist. Ever since I bought this item I couldn't decipher what was written on the back besides "Thanks for the" and "Craig Wells", but I finally figured it out before I wrote this post, and it says "Thanks for the bong, Craig Wells"....... that's funny. Wells was one of the two guitarists. I bought this off of eBay for just under $35, which is pretty reasonable for the condition it is in. Sorry for the crappy pictures, I use my computer's camera and it isn't the greatest.
These are two editions of The New Heavy Metal Revue originally printed in California by Brian Slagel. They are from January and February of 1982. Each one includes band reviews, album reviews, concert reviews, and other cool things. Slagel discusses well established bands, up and coming bands, and bands who hadn't even released any material yet, including Metal Church. I bought these at a record store for $1 each. That's all I have to say about that, and Calvin is gay.
In the beginning, when I first decided to do a blog, I wanted to have a page dedicated to heavy metal records/ cassettes/ CDs/ memorabilia that I own, but I scrapped the idea. It was brought back to my attention when my friend told me that I should post pictures of a couple of my magazines that I showed him. Well here's the new page, and the next post will be those magazines.
